Z szacunkiem sięgam po orkiestry Złotej Ery, bo uważam, że to one stanowią muzyczną podstawę każdej milongi — ich brzmienie to fundament tanga. Jednocześnie doceniam współczesne orkiestry tangowe — wnoszą do muzyki świeżość i energię, które pozwalają pełniej cieszyć się tańcem. Cieszę się, że mogę być z Wami w Toruniu na El Cielo. W piątkowe popołudnie postaram podzielić się tym, co najbardziej kocham w tangu — jego emocją, rytmem i bliskością. Niech każda tanda będzie zaproszeniem do wspólnego przeżywania muzyki, która łączy serca na parkiecie.

I love tango in all its forms — not only do I enjoy dancing it, but also listening to it and creating atmosphere through it. I turn to the orchestras of the Golden Age with great respect, as I believe they form the musical foundation of every milonga — their sound is the very essence of tango. At the same time, I deeply appreciate contemporary tango orchestras — they bring freshness and energy to the music, allowing us to enjoy the dance even more fully. I’m delighted to be with you in Toruń at El Cielo. On Friday afternoon, I’ll do my best to share what I love most about tango — its emotion, rhythm, and intimacy. May each tanda be an invitation to experience together the music that unites hearts on the dance floor.

Anthony jest DJ-em tanga od 2007 roku. Na długo przed odkryciem tanga, jeszcze jako student, występował w klubach nocnych i radiu w swoim rodzinnym Cork w Irlandii. Dziś gra na maratonach tanga, Encuentros i festiwalach w kraju i za granicą. Anthony jest znany na scenie tangowej ze swojej umiejętności tworzenia atmosfery i świetnego doświadczenia. Anthony pracuje wyłącznie z najwyższej jakości plikami cyfrowymi pochodzącymi z digitalizacji płyt szelakowymi i winylowymi i zawsze dąży do zapewnienia tancerzom jak najlepszego brzmienia.

Anthony has been a tango DJ since 2007. Long before discovering tango, he was already spinning in nightclubs and on the radio in his hometown of Cork, Ireland, while still a student. Today, he plays at tango marathons, Encuentros, and festivals at home and abroad. Anthony is well known in the tango scene for his ability to create atmosphere and a fun experience. Anthony works only with the highest-quality shellac and vinyl transfers and always strives to provide dancers with the best possible sound.

Dobierając muzykę na milongach największą przyjemność odnajduję w muzyce ze Złotej Ery tanga. Staram się wybierać utwory w sposób na tyle urozmaicony, aby każdy znalazł coś miłego swoim uszom i sercu. Moje ulubione orkiestry to dwaj Osvaldowie: romantyczny Fresedo i emocjonalny Pugliese - nie zabraknie ich na żadnej mojej milondze. Nieustannie wzbogacam swoją kolekcję muzyki o najlepsze dostępne wersje klasycznych tang.

When djing, I find the greatest pleasure in the music from the Golden Era of tango. I strive to choose songs in a sufficiently diverse manner so that everyone can find something delightful for their ears and heart. My favorite orchestras are the two Osvaldos: the romantic Fresedo and the emotional Pugliese - you will not miss either of them in my set. I also keep enriching my music collection with the best available versions of classical tangos.

Muzyka jest sercem każdej milongi. A każdy jej gość wnosi najcenniejszą walutę – swój czas. Jako Tango DJ wierzę, że moją rolą jest prowadzenie tancerzy przez emocjonalną podróż i kreowanie ulotnych flirtów par z muzyką. Tworzę płynną narrację, w której napięcie i ukojenie harmonijnie się przeplatają.

Staram się, by każdy – niezależnie od doświadczenia – znalazł w muzyce przestrzeń dla siebie: czy to w ogniu rozpalonym przez d'Arienzo, czy w nostalgii Podesty. Na milondze liczą się przede wszystkim emocje, choć kroki również mają znaczenie. Czy zauważyliście, że bandoneon potrafi się „uśmiechać”, gdy gra? Czuję spełnienie, widząc ten sam – czasem ledwie dostrzegalny – uśmiech satysfakcji na twarzach tancerek i tancerzy.

Pierwszą milongę poprowadziłem w 2014 roku. Regularnie gram w rodzinnym Toruniu oraz przyjaznej Łodzi. Moja pasja TDJ-a zaprowadziła mnie, m.in. do Wilna, a także do tak urokliwych miejsc jak Piła czy Wałcz. Każda milonga jest świętem, dlatego do każdej podchodzę z wielką uważnością.

Music is the heart of every milonga. And each guest brings the most valuable currency – their time. As a Tango DJ, I believe my role is to guide dancers through an emotional journey and create a fleeting flirtation between couples and music. I create a seamless narrative where tension and solace intertwine harmoniously.

I strive to ensure that everyone – regardless of experience – finds their own space in the music, whether in the fiery intensity of d'Arienzo or the nostalgia of Podestá. At a milonga, emotions matter most, though the steps also play their part. Have you ever noticed how the bandoneon can seem to "smile" as it plays? I feel fulfilled when I see that same – sometimes barely perceptible – smile of satisfaction on the faces of dancers.

I led my first milonga in 2014. I regularly play in my hometown of Toruń and the welcoming city of Łódź. My passion as a Tango DJ has taken me to places like Vilnius, as well as charming towns such as Piła and Wałcz. Every milonga is a celebration, and I approach each one with great care and dedication.
